In the article, "Reviewing Usage,
Potentials, and Limitations of Renewable Energy Sources", Halkos and
Gkampoura(2020) addressed the benefits and limitations of the renewable energy
sources and their consumption to the" climate change, human health and
economic growth." The authors found that the most important responses to
climate change are the decline in the use of fossil fuels and the
transformation to alternative sources of energy. The authors said that compared
to fossil fuels, renewable energy could provide energy with zero or low direct
to greenhouse gas emissions which can maintain green energy supply. Gradually,
"they do not deplete", and they can supply sufficient resources to
satisfy the global demand. The authors also mentioned that renewable energy is
an optimal way to fulfil the reduction goal of GHG emissions and to restrict
the increase in global temperature to under 2 degrees. As renewable energy is
relying on the climate, climate change will harm them. The authors said that
the production of biomass could be affected by climate change. Hence, the
capacity of biomass oil is affected too. The authors observed that higher
energy use could contribute to greater economic growth, as the developed
economy can allow more productive use of energy and reduce overall energy use.
Moreover, fossil fuels also found that could cause a variety of health issues
by pollution of carbon dioxide and other contaminants. Halkos and Gkampoura
said that higher energy use could contribute to greater economic growth, as the
developed economy can allow more productive use of energy and reduce overall
energy use. The authors asserted renewable energy could increase air quality
and have a beneficial impact on human health because renewable energy can
decrease greenhouse pollution and other toxic contaminants. This article is
useful to our report because of its contents which are variable sources for our
research.
Dear Terry,
ReplyDeleteI have just read this annotated summary and learned about effects of using fossil fuels and renewable energy sources. I feel it is important to know these information as it reflects on how it will affect factors such as human health. It is good of how you were able to support your idea on explaining the effects with the writer's idea and quotation.
Best regards,
Jin Han
Hello Jin Han,
DeleteThank you for your comment. I think I still need to improve my language to be better.
Best regards.
